Sustainability is a complex topic and it is our firm belief that together we can achieve much more. Only through long-term and trusting cooperation we can promote sustainable business along our entire value chain. This is why we engage in strong and enduring partnerships and involve all stakeholders along our value chain. Involving our stakeholders provides the great opportunity to develop ideas together, to go beyond one’s own possibilities with larger scopes of projects and to help each other via discussions or debates to in the end realize increased sustainability efforts and impacts overall. Our key stakeholders are employees, consumers, business partners, investors, scientists, policy makers and public administrations as well as local communities and neighbourhoods.
Engaging with our employees
Engaging with consumers
More than ever, consumers expect a commitment to the environment and society from companies in which they place their trust. In addition, we know that it is a great challenge not only for companies, but also for each individual to adapt to a sustainable lifestyle as there are many questions and uncertainties.
This is why we not only offer sustainable product solutions for our consumers, but also actively involve them in our sustainability efforts, e.g. via our cooperations with the German dm-drogerie markt and BUDNI retail chains.
Engaging with suppliers
Engaging with Non-Profit Organisations
Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) play an important role in political decision-making and give a voice to social and environmental concerns. They have in-depth knowledge and expertise in their specific subject area and can therefore provide valuable insights and advice on how to approach the social and environmental challenges we face.
We work in a partnership with WWF Germany, among other NPOs, on our sustainable palm oil approach, especially with regards to our smallholder project in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, where we support farmers and their local communities in the establishment of sustainable palm oil plantations.
